Bright ruby-red. Aromas of black cherry, cassis, spices and cocoa powder show both jammy and slightly herbal nuances, suggesting a wide range of fruit ripeness. Juicy, energetic and fine-grained, with its dark fruit and chocolate flavors accented by spices and herbs. A classic, rather polished second wine with noteworthy flavor interest, firm tannic spine and very good persistence. – S.T.
