Barbera Garnacha 2013 91 W&S Feb15

Francesco Marone Cinzano, of Col d’Orcia in Montalcino, established this project in 1995, and now produces the only barbera-grenache blend I know of in Chile. The wine is co-fermented without added yeast, the fruit combining in a delicate yet vibrant wine. Its red berry and spice flavors expand in the finish, filling it with freshness. Grown in Caliboro, it’s a wine to drink in summer—by the liter. – P.T.
