Floral scents of beeswax spice up this wine’s red-plum and cherry intensity; then it lasts with a warm red halo. There’s some peppery volatility adding boldness to the flavors, the texture generous, the tannins completely saturated with ripe fruit. The domaine owns 0.21 of an acre in Charmes; the wine ages in new oak barrels and needs long aging in bottle to fully integrate that oak. – T.T.
