Grand Cru Geisberg Riesling 2013 93 VIN

A very refined diesel note complements stone fruit, lychee and mushrooms. Enters juicy and bright, then turns more austere; a noteworthy vertical acid spine (rare for the Geisberg, which is a warm site) lifts and extends the tropical and stone fruit flavors. Finishes long and tactile, with slightly chewy mouthfeel and a repeating note of underbrush and mushrooms. Full-bodied Riesling that can pair well even with white meat dishes.  – I.D.
