An almost tropical hint of pineapple hovers amid the juicy pear notes of the nose. On the palate, both spritz and richness are equally apparent, and there almost is a honeyed edge to the pear fruit. The palate is rounded, mellow, mild and rich, taking more structure from phenolics than from acidity. The finish is dry and savory. —A.K
