This is produced by the Lafite-Rothschild team at their project in Colchagua, a blend of cabernet sauvignon (85 percent), syrah and carmenère from 70-year-old vines. The most striking thing about it is the sweetness of the texture, a smooth sensation that caresses the palate without any astringency or rough edges, surrounded by luscious fruit and spice. – P.T.
