This is a wild Le Dix. The red fruit flavours and effervescent, pointed tannins dominate the scene, leaving little room for herbal and spicy notes. It’s a Cabernet-dominated blend that’s just beginning to show its character, in a vintage marked by the heat and low yields that have given wines of great concentration and strength. Patience is required with this red, but it will evolve with grace. Drinking Window 2019 – 2027. – P.T.
