The 2010 Barolo Riserva Leon shows extra concentration and richness with a polished but also very powerful finish. The bouquet delivers fine aromas of died cherry, dried ginger, balsam herb and campfire ash. The Riserva is aged in large oak casks (with a smaller part in neutral barrique) and shows more evolved aromas as a result. – M.L.
