[…] It has a very exuberant nose, with abundant oak-related notes and also ripe, bright fruit, a mixture of red and black berries and notes of violets. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with chewy tannins, moderate acidity and a ripe finish with notes of prunes and dark chocolate. In 2010, there was a change in the barrels and I feel there is better integration of the wood and a different quality of the tannins, as I had the chance to taste previous vintages next to it. This is a well-crafted, big Malbec. – L.G.
