This fresh, full-bodied red exudes ripe and dried fruit notes and flavors of baked currant, fig cake, spiced citrus peel and dried sage, tightly meshed with firm tannins and a smoky underpinning. Appealing now, but should open nicely with aging or decanting. Best from 2021 through 2031. —A.N.
