…This is always a Bordeaux blend. When the first vintage — 2001 — was released, there was hardly any blends in Chile and most of the wines were varietal wines. The idea was to show the potential of terroir through blending varieties and removing the strong varietal character from the wine. This 2011 has nice roundness and at the same time, seems to have a little more acidity than 2010; it feels more accessible within it’s serious, slightly strict profile. – L.G.
