Brilliant violet. Fresh dark berry and olive aromas are complemented by suggestions of cracked pepper and smoky minerals. Shows very good depth and energy on the palate, offering juicy blackberry and bitter cherry flavors and a hint of salty olive. Finishes with gentle tannic grip and very good persistence, leaving a building violet pastille note behind. – J.R.
