The 2012 Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d’Alba feels very ripe on the nose and palate. It shows slightly less depth and complexity as a result. The bouquet delivers Morello cherry and dried blackberry followed by barbecued spice and campfire ash. The mouthfeel offers moderate richness and power. – M.L.
