The 2013 Sister Moon (45% Sangiovese, 45% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon) also shows that bright cherry sweetness that comes forth so clearly in the other wines made at Tenuta il Palagio. This is an organic farm that produces honey, legumes and other agricultural treats. The bouquet starts with candied cherry aromas and soon segues to light spice and dark plum. Even though the complexity of the bouquet is mild, the wine is beautiful, bright and buoyant at its inner core.
