The full-bodied, creamy-textured 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape consists of 70% Grenache and 10% each Cinsault, Mourvèdre and Syrah. Raspberries and orange zest appear on the nose and palate, which offers wonderfully plush fruit without a ton of complexity. Already approachable, it should continue to drink well for at least 6-7 years. – J.C.
