A nutty smokiness gives a subtle hint of wood to the ripe pear fruit and adds creamy, aromatic richness. The palate follows suit with its interplay of wood and fruit, freshness and mellow richness. This is balanced, concentrated and bold. Lovely now but will evolve. Drink until 2030. —A.K.
