Lovely aromas of young peach, dried flowers, honeyed almonds, and hints of wild herbs lift from the glass. On the palate, Planeta’s 2019 Rosé presents soft textures, motivated by stimulating acids and minerals, as a note of citrus-tinged green apple settles upon the senses. The finish is clean and fresh, clinging to the senses with notes of citrus and ripe stone fruits, as it slowly tapers off. This is a wonderfully expressive blend of Nero d’Avola and Syrah, which disappears from the glass very quickly. – E.G.
